Re: SIMS NOT ACTIVATED

I thoght the limit was removed

But thats the problem with selling them in that way its down to the person you sell to to activate the sim but my advice would be maybe 1 at a time but about getting more you would have to ask a giffgaff poster

Re: SIMS NOT ACTIVATED

Best way is to send the a PM though ebay, to tell them to activate it. Try and mention your reason, or else they might think there is something fishy

Re: SIMS NOT ACTIVATED

"But thats the problem with selling them in that way its down to the person you sell to to activate the sim"

Quite the opposite in fact, people who approach you for the sims are far more likely to activate than someone who you approach. The underlying problem as I have pointed out is the activation process, the feedback I have received from both friends and ebayers is one of 'the card doesnt work' and 'aww I can't be bothered with it'

How many posts are related to 'sim activation' on here, and remember they're just the ones who even bothered to register to use this forum. Unless you're some techno-geek not everyone can be bothered trolling internet forums looking for answers so where do the sims end up?

I fully understand why this arrangement is in place, but with the amount of custom being thrown away it's false economy. Come on GG lets have sims that the average man/woman on the street can use(and that includes e-top ups)

That isn't all of the underlying problem either

eBay has a set of people who are quite clearly buying only 1p items in order to collect feedback points to put towards later selling careers on there

If you search their feedback, you'll see that some have bought more than 50 SIM cards on all networks in only a few days. I can't see why they would expect anyone to be impressed by this, but I suppose that after 90 days the descriptions are no longer available ...

Then there is also the choice of item description used for selling. Several headline that the £5 credit is free, which lets some people overlook that actually it's conditional on applying their own credit too, if they didn't happen to read the rest of the description as carefully as they might.

Re: SIMS NOT ACTIVATED

Yes I have recently become aware of the 'feedback brigade' thats why I'm giving them negative feedback - PARASITES :smileymad:

Although a large percentage of my sims have not been issued via ebay where 'feedback' doesn't come into the equation the activation problem still persists.

Even still I'm knocking the ebay on the head after this last lot has gone. I have other plans afoot :smileywink:

Face facts though Andy - the whole activation process is a problem, most posts on here are related to it and they're just the ones who have actually bothered to register on the GG forum.

Two things I would like to see is the abolition of this current 'activation' process in favour of a more user friendly less confusing registration/top-up process and the introduction of the E-TopUp scheme which like it or not is going to have to be implemented at some point anyway if GG is to grow(more about that in a later post)
