SOS: can't activate my SIM, can't ask an agent and can't log out properly - got really stucked!

I guess the subject tells it all:

 

Can not activat my new SIM - i get an error msg: SIM activation code is not valid.

 

Tried to reach an agent but the link on the Support page is not visible.

 

Tried to log-out/log-in hoping that it may reset/solve the problem but

clicking on login takes me back immediately to the dashboard,

without asking for username/pwd - obviously i'm still logged-in.

 

Any suggestions?

If you cant activate then log out off everthing giffgaff related. then log in again. go to the bottom of the screen at the left hand side and click on activate SIM.

 

All you have to do then is enter your activation code and click activate 1 time only. if you click it twice you will have to start again.

 

if this fails you CANNOT ask an agent as you obviously dont have an active sim. instead click on contact us and send in all your details.

 

Username

SSN number

Activation code  etc.

 

The agent should be able to get your mail that way. :smileyhappy:

If this still happens, you might need to clear your giffgaff cookies. But I think you will be fine by now. As for activating your card, try this:

 

1 - Navigate to www.giffgaff.com
2 - Select 'Activate SIM' button
3 - Enter activation code for Friend/VIG
4 - Click 'Activate Me' button
5 - Enter username / password / email
6 - Accept T's & C's
7 - Click 'Continue to address details'

 

This is where the problem happens..


You are now redirected back to mygiffgaff
But just login with username created in step 5 and then click on 'Activate SIM' button on dashboard

 

8 - You are then directed to Address details page
9 - Enter correct details
10 - Click 'Activate Me' button
11 - Activation Success page is displayed
12 - Activation in progress is displayed in mygiffgaff for few minutes
13 - You are now successfully activated

 

This should work.

Thanks for the replies.

 

@ Vincent: i have seen your post in the other thread but it does not work for me.

 I tried both 'Activate SIM' on mygiffgaff and on www.giffgaff.com as you suggest.

 

@loophole82: one of my problem was that i could not log out properly. In the meantime

i was timed out, but logging in did not help unfortunately. None of the links work.

 

I sent an email to customer service. Thanks for the suggestion.
