If I was to use a giffgaff sim in an iPhone, would I be able to use 3G for free on it? Anyone else using a gg sim in an iPhone? How is it working out?

- Hi Jack,
Im currently using my GiffGaff sim in my o2 IPhone 3G, and it works a treat.
Push notifications work, 3G works although to get the settings you will need to visit http://invalid.name/giffgaff to download the correct settings. (it's mentioned in another thread about the iphone)
Obviously there is no Visual Voicemail.. but it all still works a treat

Hi there. My friend is using Giff Gaff in his IPhone and i works fine - free browsing and an excellent connection no problems at all. A real perk for having Giff Gaff on IPhone. Much cheaper than the competitors

Hi,
I've been using Iphone (from Tesco PAYG) on giffgaff for about 2 months, works absolutely fine, to get internet connection you will need to download the giffgaff settings for iphone from this website (type "giffgaff settings for iphone" in search), also you won't get be getting balance pop ups on iphone.Good luck ![]()

Vicnazza,
I get a screen up on my iPhone after every chargable call, which shows my current balance, and have just tested to confirm that this is the case.

I don't get any balance alerts at all after neither chargable calls nor free calls and I haven't changed any settings apart from turning my voicemail off.

Strange! I get the balance alert on mine (well occasionally I seem not to get it - but it's quite rare), wonder why you don't.
Oh and my iPhone has been great on giffgaff so far too - though I've still not quite got picture messaging sorted for some reason - but I think I'm the exception to the rule as I've not seen any reports of other people with iPhones on giffgaff having problems, and it's just a minor niggle knowing it doesn't work than an actual problem as I never send them anyway when I have free data for emails instead.
