Re: blackberry internet

You need internet settings... I will tell you how to do it for most phones so if the one made for yours doesn't work you have other things to try... For most phones you can just text the word 'Settings' to 2020 for the internet settings and 'mms' to 1010 for MMS Settings if you want MMS as well... However it doesn't work on all phones (including newer smartphones) so this option is best if you have a standard phone, so try it, but if it doesn't work you can always use the second option and enter them manually in the phone's internet settings menu like this:

GPRS/3G Settings:

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Proxy Server Address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy Port:8080
Login - Username: giffgaff
Password: password
MCC: 234
MNC: 10

MMS Settings:

Connection Name: giffgaff - MMS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Username: giffgaff
Password: password
Server: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
APN type: mms

(Basic settings can also be found here http://bit.ly/aDpTHx)

(And Dongle settings can be found here http://bit.ly/ug4FaE)

If you don't want to use the second option or it didn't work and you have a smartphone, your third option is to follow one of these guides specially made for your smartphone to set up your phone for the internet. Just click the link for the phone you have if it's there:

If you need more help you get your phone connected to the Internet, go to: http://support.giffgaff.com/app/home where giffgaff have already created a large database of settings and instructions for entering them on many devices.

Just enter your device's make and model in the search box!
If your phone is found just click the link and it should display a detailed step by step guide to entering the giffgaff settings required for your particular phone to be able to access the internet through giffgaff.

If the steps required for your exact phone are not found then please consider looking at model names close to yours as the menus of manufacture's phones usually stay the same as they use the same operating systems, or check the forum for any posts relating to your device for more information.

If you still don't have internet try deleting all the existing APN profiles, powering the phone off, power it back on again and retry entering the settings.

If you still can't get an internet connection You might have a data bar whitch prevents you from using the internet. It should be removed on activation of your sim, but in some cases it doesn't and you will need to ask an agent to check if you have a data bar and if you do have one then you will have to ask them to remove it, contact an agent on the "My Giffgaff" page.
