I don't think you should be planning regular flirtations with the limits, but this thread might help any worries about accidents
As well as that, most phones have a log that can help you get an idea of how much data is involved in various types of use and adjust your behaviour if needed. I doubt you'd be in much danger from ordinary browsing.
edit: n.b. when checking the phone log, if your phone also has wi-fi and you've used it, you'd be filtering to look at packet data, not total data used. Also, it's worth checking settings - for example, an odd feature of some Symbian phones is that if using the Flash Player, one apparently gets offered a choice of access point, but the one set as default is still used, so switch that to the wi-fi

Unless you're streaming media or making large up or downloads (hard to believe on a phone!) its pretty hard to burn 100Mb on 'normal' activities. The few other things I can think of (Android flash backups hit 250Mb+ on my phone, loading mp3's, uploading large photo albums) are all better done via PC rather than on the road.
giffgaff dont care if you go over occasionally in any case, just dont do it regularly.

Hey,
Let's face it, not every one of us can be a IT expert and calculate the amount of MB we use up in a Day. Thereofre, I found myself a good app, SPB Wireless. This calculates the amount of MB you use in a day, a week or even a month. And it is real time update, so you would know exactly when you reach the limit.
It will cost you, but I just reinstall it ever month.

For the Android folks out there, I can strongly recommend and app called 3g watchdog.
I used it when I had the Hero.
Nothing similar on the iPhone strangely. Probably because most iphones are used alongside unlimited data plans - and because most iPhone users don't know what a megabyte is! ![]()

3G Watchdog looks good. I use NetCounter which keeps seperate counts for Wifi and cellular data, useful for experimenting on WiFi to get a feeling for data use without worrying about 2G/3G data use or charges. The usage alerts are a little more hidden but available in it.
Does seriously eat battery in accurate mode though ![]()

Giffgaff have this data which they can spit out in reports - IMO the best solution would be for the data usage report for your account to be accessible on the dashboard. Should be simple to set up, and helps members keep data usage in check.
