Hi.

Im sure some one has done this.

I want to setup a new account /sim for internet only using the gigabags or just credit as i will only use it infrequently.

I have bought an Download unlocked o2 dongle, now i nee to setup the dongle and sim card.

I assume i open another giffgaff account and enable the sim (i have this already).

I add £10 credit

I buy a gigabag if required..

i put the sim into the dongle and the dongle into the laptop.

is this right so far..

next thing is to setup the dongle yes?

Dongle is o2 model E1752Cu

anyone got settings for this dongle ans how do i input the settings?

      `Dongle Settings` software on the computer.....

Click on Profile Management Tab
Click New Profile
Profile Name -giffgaff
Apn - Click on (Static) Then enter the apn  - giffgaff .com

UserName = giffgaff
 
Password = password

DNS Settings = Dynamic
 
WINS Settings = Dynamic
 
1, ( i didnt have to put anything in either of these it setted the ip/protocol/dns/wins settings without putting anything in )  


2, ( I didnt need to put a ip as it did it automatic for me so if you need it here itis )

Proxy Port: 8080

Yes,all of your assumptions re setting up a new account etc are correct.

Once you have your new sim active and in your dongle you need to go into the settings of the connection manager program for it and set up a new connection for giffgaff.

The basic settings are

APN giffgaff.com

Username giffgaff

Password password

Number to dial *99#
