How to delete voicemail notification without listening to the voicemail?

I am aware you can turn voicemail on and off through a couple of different ways.

However, if voicemail is switched on and you get a voicemail, but then switch off voicemail, is there a way of getting rid of the voicemail icon without having to listen to it?  I assume that, as voicemails only last a month or so, you could just wait until the message expires and the icon disappears, but is there a faster method that doesn't involve listening to messages?

No. I think you might be able to turn the notification off in the voicemail settings if you call voicemail though. Maybe if you clicked it and hung up?

But no, I do not think there is sorry Smiley Sad

Re: How to delete voicemail notification without listening to the voicemail?

you could do it through your landline to save credit.

Checking your voicemail from a landline or another mobile

Once you've set up your PIN it is easy to check your voicemail from any other phone.
Dial your mobile, wait for it to go to answer phone and hit the star key, a prompt will ask you to enter your pin code that you set up previously followed by the hash key

You need to listen to your voicemail message in order for the notification to go.
If you have set upapin for your voicemail access, then if you have another giffgaff phone handy, and it has free giffgaff calls, then call your number, enter your pin and listen for free.

Re: How to delete voicemail notification without listening to the voicemail?

I am having trouble with voice mails Also! This seems to be from Gifgaff asking me to change my password!! I have now listened to twenty plus calls of the same recording, seems dodgy to me, as there is no mention of me needing to change my password on my online account.

Can ANYONE help. I have used the stop voicemails option, yet my phone seems full of them. I will have to go elsewhere if there is no answer. Smiley Sad

Thank you in advance.
