PAC CODE

Hi, i have just brought a giffgaff sim card but do not get signal at home, i need the PAC code to move to another provider but it says access denied .. can anybody help?

Thanks for your reply, i need to move to orange and orange says giffgaff should provide me with PAC code but it wont let me access it on her?

When requesting your number to be transferred to giffgaff you would need to a PAC code from your old phone network provider. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the issue date. Once you have your pac code follow the link below on porting over to giffgaff using the pac code recieved from your old mobile network operator. http://bit.ly/giffgaffportin As with activations the porting can take up two 24 hours to complete and does not occur over weekends and bank holidays the porting stages are listed below

1. The Old Network provider Sim Stops working
2. Giffgaff sim stops working

3. Giffgaff Sim starts working (calls, texts, & data will activate at different times.)

Just 2 things to bring your mobile number to giffgaff:

1) PAC code: You'll need a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) from your current service provider.Contact your current service provider and request a PAC code as you want to transfer (or 'port-out') your number to another network. PAC codes are valid for 30 days from the issue date

2) Active giffgaff SIM: You'll need to have an active giffgaff SIM so we can process the transfer (make sure your giffgaff account and SIM has been activated if you haven't already.

Typically it shouldn't take more than 2 days

To get your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) and transfer your number from GiffGaff to another airtime provider, you can do either of the following:

1. Visit http://giffgaff.com/help/pac-code-request
2. Dial 43431 from your handset

You should receive an SMS with your code within two hours (Mon-Fri 0800-1600hrs) and the PAC will also show on your My Giffgaff page, under your phone number.

The code is valid for one month, after which time, you'll need to apply for another if you haven't used it.

You need to wait (up to 24 hours) for your SIM card to become fully activated before you can request a PAC

 

After this time, dial 43431 or go to http://giffgaff.com/help/pac-code-request to request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code)

 

The PAC will be delivered by SMS within 2 hours (M-F 8-4) and displayed on your dashboard under your number.

 

The transfer must be initiated within 30 days of requesting the PAC, otherwise it will expire and you will need to request another. Please be aware that mobile networks are not obliged to provide a PAC once your account with them has been terminated.

 

You will permanently lose the credit/goodybag applied to your account the moment your number is ported out.
