I am setting my mum up on GiffGaff - she has a newer version of the samsung toco lite. Calls are now working, however despite trying to change the internet settings I can't get the internet to work.
I've followed the instructions for Toco lite (which don't quite fit the bill as there is no 'application settings' menu) but no go.
Some additional info:
When I go into the settings menu there is an option called 'connectivity'. Then there is an option called 'network' then there is an option called 'connections' - within this option it is possible to 'create' new connections. I have set up one for giffgaff internet and one for giffgaff MMS following the advice re. Toco lite as far as possible.
There is no opportunity to make these settings the default, so I have been through all the applications (including web browser, social networking and media messaging) and pointed them to the giff gaff connections settings. Its still not working...
Can you help?

Hi - my original thread was attracting answers re. toco lite - a differnet version of the phone. I tried to reply to the thread to update it but it wouldn't go through hence I started a new one. Sorry for the duplication.

check the settings on your phone against the Definitive settings below ...

I don't know how to delete the old O2 settings - there doesn't seem to be an option to.
I am going to get the phone unlocked as perhaps that would help?
I didn't think I needed to unlock an O2 phone but perhaps it will open up the APN settings to be manipulated.
What do you think?

There is no need to unlock a phone that is locked to o2 ... giffgaff will work without unlocking.
Have you tried editing the o2 APN instead of deleting? ...should have the facility to do that by using left soft key as described earlier?
