hi all, HELP!!
We have a blackberry curve 9320 and cannot get BBM working on it... We get the message 'associating BBM with your blackberry ID' and just hangs. We never got the text message from Blackberry when we set up the email address and got the BBM add on. The host files and service books on the phone are empty, we followed instructions that are on here, clicked register etc battery pull and so on.. still all empty, it appears the phone cannot connect to the bb internet and enterpise services?
have tried everything including deleting the bb app world and reinstalling on the phone, battery pull etc, took the phone into phones for u who we bought it and they can't help us either. how can you get the settings resent to the phone or advise how to get this fixed please? (in noddy language please as im not techie ) thanks!

( Setting up Blackberrys )
Everything you need is here http://bit.ly/giffgaffblackberry
BB Add-on - http://giffgaff.com/blackberry-add-on
[ Quick Set-up ]
[ Blackberry Internet Settings ]
Go to your home screen and select (Options)
Then Select (Device)
Then Select Advanced System Settings > (TCP/IP)
Then Enter the APN : giffgaff.com
user name: giffgaff
password: password > just type the word password (not your giffgaff password)
Press the BB Menu key and select (Save)
For OS 4 or 5: From the Home screen, Options >
Advanced Options > TCP
User Name: giffgaff
Then Menu Key and Save.
For OS 6 or 7: Trackpad button > Open Tray
Select Options > Device > Advanced System
Settings > TCP/IP
User Name: giffgaff
Then BB Menu key and Save.
Turn on Data Services on the phone
[ The Blackberry Addon ]
1, You must purchase the add on at the same time as a goodybag,
2, You cannot add it to an existing live goodybag, on it's own or with payg credit
3, You will have to wait until your present goodybag fully expires am affraid
4, If you dont have the addon then you Can / Need to download opera mobile browser > http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/versions/
5, [ After The Blackberry Addon Purchase ]
Try taking your battery out for 1-2 minutes then replace and power it back on
Settings then should be applied for you automatically !
(Please be Aware) It could take 24 hours to register/activate with RIM
If your BB Add-on fails to activate within 24 hours and trying the above suggestions I made then I would advise you to contact a agent ASAP

Guys we have tried all of this... the internet settings are in there, not sure how to switch data services on? we can access the net on the phone via our own wifi, the problem is connecting the phone, bb id to the bb services. the host files are empty as are the service books on the phone, we followed the instructions placed on all these forums but it still isn't working... we need the host files and service books sent down to the phone some how? thanks

giffgaff do not support enterprise services from blackberry, only the Blackberry Internet Service [and even that is a limited version.] If you are trying to connect to an enterprise server it won't work, sorry.
If you stated enterprise by mistake and actually mean BIS, and have tried all you stated above, then I can think of one of two things to check. Go into your "My giffgaff" and check your previous payments, ensure you did indeed buy the Addon. If it shows in your previous payments then you should contact an Agent and ask them to "re-provision" your Blackberry Addon [as it may not have been added successfully].

Options > [Device] > Advanced [System] Settings > Host Routing Table > Press the Blackberry button and choose "Register Device"
Set-up > Email Accounts > Internet Mail Accounts > Blackberry Button > Click on Service Books
Save and exit then reboot your phone by taking the battery out.
If that doesn't work then your services haven't been provisioned by giffgaff, contact an agent and ask them to do it!
