can't send photos (mms) on my Galaxy S3. Internet is fine

Hi all

I have tried all the guides here on the set-up of the APN but I just can't send photos using MMS?

Internet via 3G is fine with the settings.

You need airtime credit to send MMS/picture messages as they're not included in Goodybags. They cost 16p each.

If you have sufficient airtime credit then check you have enabled 3G/mobile/cellular data in your phone's settings.

Oh and I'm sure it's not as simple as this but did you remember to press save after adding the settings? I know some people have forgotten this step

Re: can't send photos (mms) on my Galaxy S3. Internet is fine

These are my current settings taken from another post:

Name - giffgaff

APN - giffgaff.com

Proxy - 193.113.200.195

Port - 8080

Username - giffgaff

Password - Password

Server - http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002

MMSC - http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002

MMS proxy - 193.113.200.195

MMS port - 8080

MCC - 234

MNC - 10

Authentication type - PAP

APN type - default,supl,mms

Enable/disable APN - tick box (APN enabled)

Also I have the £10 goody bag with 250mins calls? is there an additional plan I need to send MMS? what is this airtime I need to buy?

Do I need the airtime as well as change the settings to the one above as I don;t have the exact same fields as mentioned above.

Thanks

Re: can't send photos (mms) on my Galaxy S3. Internet is fine

I have tried all and these settings and now at least it says message failed instead of just sitting there doing nothing, but willstill not send MMS a vcards. Been on giffgaff for ages now and never been able to send mms. I would leave but I have over £180 built up credit. Is there anything else you can suggest.I have a good strong 3 g signal and when I speed test the connection I connect at between 3 and 6 meg, so it's defo not a signal issue. Normally I can work these things out myself, but this has really got me stumped. Any ideas ?

Re: can't send photos (mms) on my Galaxy S3. Internet is fine

I have the same problem with my S3 but after a factory reset, when I enter all the APN details for Internet and mms it doesn't give me the radio button to choose that option after saving it and the enable APN is ticked in the settings by default. When I create a new APN with just gprs details it has the radio button but of course no mms settings. And texting "settings" to 2020 doesn't return any reply. HELP!!!
