Re: getting a pac code from t mobile

Keeping your existing number.

If you want to keep your existing phone number when you move to giffgaff first, you'll need to activate your new giffgaff SIM.

Complete guide to activation: http://bit.ly/giffgaffactivate

Remember, you need to activate before you will be able to top-up.

Then you'll need to let your old network provider know you're leaving and ask them for your PAC (Port Authorisation Code).

Next you’ll need to fill in the online form to let us know your PAC.

To transfer your number, you’ll need to keep your account active with your old provider and you’ll lose any credit on your old account.

Want to transfer your number tomorrow? It is possible - but you MUST submit your request before 3pm at least one working day in advance. Please note that weekends and English Bank Holidays don't count as working days. If you are requesting a transfer after 3pm please allow at least two working days.

If your number still hasn't fully transferred by 6pm on the transfer day, or if you are unable to make calls, please ask an Agent: http://bit.ly/giffgaffagent to help things get resolved; please include the following information:

• Existing mobile number
• New mobile number
• Alternative contact number
• PAC code

More Info: http://bit.ly/giffgaffportin

You can check the status of your port in process in the Messages from agents section in the Help page. You should have your number transferred to giffgaff by the selected date, but follow the Messages that our giffgaff agents send you in case we encounter any problem.

If you still have questions about the port in process you can get help from the community here or you can contact a giffgaff agent directly.

Important note: It is normal on the day of transfer to experience a loss of service during the transfer process. You may not be able to use either your old number or your giffgaff number for several hours up to 9pm on the day the number is transfering. Turn your phone off and on throughout the day, untill transfer is successful.

If your number hasn't transferred by 6pm please contact an agent.

Yep, ring and ask, they put me through to the retentions team, gave the pac there and then verbally but also sent a text though.

Re: getting a pac code from t mobile

With giffgaff you've got a better chance of getting a Pac-Man than a Pac code, and chasing up the Agents is a bit like chasing ghosts.
