iMessage won't work with iPhone 4?

I have a iPhone 4 with the newest software but still my iMessage hasn't worked for months now, every time i try to send a message it get's half way then says "Not Delivered!" no matter who i try sending it to. All my settings are correct, my celluar data and MMS settings are the exact same as what i have seen the admins on here tell other people to enter. My iMessage activates and it's recived at 2 adresses so i don't know if it is a fault with the sim card or my phone.

If anyone knows how to help i would appreciate it loads

Re: iMessage won't work with iPhone 4?

Follow this process

This will fix errors on apps and sites with iPhones (including ios6)

Remove any profile first . Go to
Settings
General
Profiles ( near the bottom)
Click profiles and remove any that are there

Now go to
Settings
General
Reset ( at the bottom of the page)
And click reset network settings

Once the phone restarts go to
Settings
General
Mobile data ( or celular or celular data )
Mobile data network ( scroll down if not visible)

And change the mobile data and mms apn 's
From idata.o2.co.uk
To giffgaff.com
dont click reset

ADDED FIX IF THE ABOVE DOSN'T WORK
install the onavo extend app from the Apple Store and install the giffgaff profile via the app

Re: iMessage won't work with iPhone 4?

Check your settings again. You may have missed something.
Gg iphone settings.

Delete any profiles installed. Go to settings / general and scroll down to see if any profiles are installed. If so then delete it. Then

Go to Settings
General
Mobile Data
Then Mobile Data Network

Mobile Data

APN ... giffgaff.com
Username ... giffgaff
Password ... password
Visual Voicemail (just leave as is, giffgaff do not support visual voicemail)

MMS

APN ... giffgaff.com
Username ... giffgaff
Password ... password
MMSC http://mmsc-ac.mms.o2.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMS Proxy 193.113.200.195:8080
Max message size 2097152
MMS UA Prof URL (just leave blank)
Do NOT press the " Reset Settings " button when you’ve done this.

Once the settings are in, turn your iphone off ( via the red slider ) till the screen is completely blank. Then reboot. If you do not see the apple logo, the settings will not stick.

Then, press Settings /Messages and ensure that MMS Messaging button is set to ON.

In settings messages turn imessages on.

Please also ensure that the Enable 3G " button and the Mobile Data button are set to ON. (Press Settings, then General, then Mobile Data).

Then Settings /Phone And check My Number is correct

Go to Settings /Carrier and change to O2-UK.

Also note that Picture messages cost 16p and are not included in any goodybags.

If I helped click ''solutions and kudos'' thanks.

Re: iMessage won't work with iPhone 4?

If you have just updated your iphone with the new IOS 6 then you can try this,

After itunes has updated your iPhone, it will reset your mobile data settings, so you will need to re install them manually.

The " Network  " option has been replaced with " Mobile Data "

Check your settings against these ...???

There are three iPhones in my family that use these settings successfully. (3Gs, 4, 4s) Running IOS 5.1.1 IOS 6

You need to install these manually...

Go to " Settings " ....

          " General " ....

          " Mobile Data " ....

Then  " Mobile Data Network "

Mobile Data

APN ... giffgaff.com

Username ... giffgaff

Password ... password

Visual Voicemail (just leave as is, giffgaff do not support visual voicemail)

MMS

APN ... giffgaff.com

Username ... giffgaff

Password ... password

MMSC http://mmsc-ac.mms.o2.co.uk:10021/mmsc

MMS Proxy 193.113.200.195:8080

Max message size 2097152

MMS UA Prof URL (just leave blank)

Do NOT press the " Reset Settings " button when you’ve done this.

Once the settings are in, turn your iphone off ( via the red slider ) till the screen is completely blank. Then reboot. If you do not see the apple logo, the settings will not stick.

Then, press “ Settings “…“ Messages “ and ensure that " MMS Messaging " button is set to ON.

In " settings " " messages " turn imessages on.

Please also ensure that the " Enable 3G " button and the " Mobile Data " button are set to ON. (Press Settings, then General, then Mobile Data).

Then " Settings " ... " Phone " .... And check " My Number " is correct

Go to " Settings " ... " Carrier " and change to O2-UK.

Hope this helps!

Re: iMessage won't work with iPhone 4?

Just tried and resetting everything, entering it back manually. I did everything right yet it still doesn't work, is there any other way at all? I'm still getting the "Not Delivered!" message, thank you for the help.
