Re: internet with pay as you go?

Yes sure

Please see below

|Internet Settings|

1.Send a text message free of charge with the word settings to 2020:

If number 1 worked then please install the settings then turn off your handset for 60sec then power back up and the settings should enable you to browse the internet and install the MMS settings for you

2.If that doesnt work then please follow this guide:

Try these settings > Go to Internet Settings or Wireless & Networks on your mobile phone

Then select Mobile Networks Or Connection / Connectivity or Internet Profile / Data Connection from the menu and click Access Point or create a new apn and enter >

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS

APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com

Proxy Server Address:193.113.200.195

Proxy Port: 8080

Login - Username: giffgaff

Password: password

Then power your phone of for 60 seconds then power back up then the settings should be applied for you

Or Try These Very Popular Settings (works on almost any handsets) http://bit.ly/giffgaffAPN

*If it still doesn't connect to the internet then please see below*

Try deleting any old or new (data) / (wap) (internet) settings you dont need then power off your phone then back on again and retry the settings and see if that works

Or Try www.bit.ly/ggservicestatus

MMS & a full on guide is here http://community.giffgaff.com/t5/Contribute-Innovation-Promotion/giffgaff-Internet-Settings/m-p/3669...

Thanks

http://giffgaff.com/index/pricing

On PAYG rates it's 20p for the first 20MB per day then 20p per 1MB for any further use in the same day.

Re: internet with pay as you go?

It is charged at 20p per day for upto 20MB. If you go over 20MB then it is charged at 20p for each additional MB that you use.

You will also require the giffgaff data settings on your phone, what is it you are using?

You need internet settings... I will tell you how to do it for many phones so if the one made for yours doesn't work you have other things to try... For most phones you can just text the word 'Settings' to 2020 for the internet settings and 'mms' to 1010 for MMS Settings if you want MMS as well... However it doesn't work on all phones (including newer smartphones), so try it, but if it doesn't work you can always use the second option and enter them manually in the phone's internet settings menu like this:

GPRS/3G Settings:

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Proxy Server Address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy Port:8080
Login - Username: giffgaff
Password: password
MCC: 234
MNC: 10

MMS Settings:

Connection Name: giffgaff - MMS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Username: giffgaff
Password: password
Server: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
APN type: mms

If you don't want to use the second option or it didn't work and you have a smartphone your third option is to follow one of these guides to set up your phone for the internet. Just click the link for the phone you have if it's there:

If you need more help you get your phone connected to the Internet, go to: http://support.giffgaff.com/app/home where giffgaff have already created a large database of settings and instructions for entering them on many devices.

Just enter your device's make and model in the search box!
If your phone is found just click the link and it should display a detailed step by step guide to entering the giffgaff settings required for your particular phone to be able to access the internet through giffgaff.

If the steps required for your exact phone are not found then please consider looking at model names close to yours as the menus of manufacturer's phones usually stay the same as they use the same operating systems, or check the forum for any posts relating to your device for more information.

I hope I have been helpful and this helps you get it working!
