hey guys can anyone help..trying to contact talk talk customer services on their freephone number..being a 0800 freephone number....have tried 4 different freephone numbers for talk talk from my giff gaff mobile ...no joy ..says call failed..or simply will not connect..as far as i know according to threads posted you are meant to drop the first 0 and dial 800...12345.. which is what i have done still no joy...there customer services number is not down ...can anyone enlighten me kind regards...sal..

you don't need to drop the 0 on GG... could it be the handset limiting it???

hey..when you add 0 before the 800 does your balance go down as far as i know you are supposed to drop the 0 infront of the 0800 number according to some threads..thanks

What happened is that originally dropping the leading 0 was necessary, then at some stage dialling it with the 0 in front was enabled.
Some numbers can be dialled either way at the moment, but not all of them, as you've found.
Using the 0 in front is intended as the long-term position.

Just a thought but .... have you tried calling the same 0800 number/s from a landline, so that you know they are still valid numbers ?
Alternatively, have you successfully dialled any other 0800 number from your giffgaff 'phone ?

Guys we used to need to drop the 0 before dialling 0800 numbers but this isn't required anymore- it is now possible to just call straight the 0800
