Re: Unlocking your Handset, Simple step by step guide.

I wasn't trying to imply that all such websites are scams. I apologise if I gave that impression.

Incidentally, there are several eBay sellers who will supply Motorola subsidy unlock codes for less than £3. Most are pretty reliable, but, as always, check their feedback before buying.

Re: Unlocking your Handset, Simple step by step guide.

Thanks for this guide.  I am trying to unlock a Nokia 5230 currently on Vodafone so that I can use GG.  Unfortunately I don't have an old Voda sim (I used Asda) to get them to provide a free code, and I think the phone is too new anyway.

I have downloaded NSS but am struggling with the 'simple google search' for my unlock code to use with NSS.  I find a lot of sites which offer paid-for remote unlocking (as discussed above) but no actual codes for NSS.  I've also found unlock.nokiafree.org which claims to generate free unlock codes for the 5230 for direct keypad input, but since this doesn't work for BB5 phones, I'm wary about trusting the code even for use with NSS.  (Unfortunately I tried the codes via keypad twice before searching further and discovering this isn't possible for BB5s, so I might be on my last chance..?)

Any tips would be welcomed!
