There was a couple of gremlin's in the points calculation formulas - which meant that some of the information appearing in the Points Statement email displayed incorrectly.

The total points were correct, however the information under 'Helping giffgaff grow' may have been incorrect on your statement.

If you received an updated statement today, you'll now notice that the figures should all add up!

ie

Helping giffgaff grow: 500

- SIM packs activated: 1 @ 500 points each

- Recommendation: 0 @ 200 points each

- Spread the work email sent: 0 @ 50 points each

Sorry for the confusion! It was due to human error - measures have been put in place so it doesn't happen again.

New updated statement makes sense. Finally! I thought I was losing the plot looking at the 3 previous ones that I got.

Should this email have gone to people who didn't receive one at all as well?  I know Daniel is one of the people who didn't get one before but now has for example, however I didn't get one last week and I haven't got today's one either.

I'm not sure it was related to the tickboxes in my account profile either (the ones about receiving info and offers from giffgaff) as I have had that ticked since this morning and not got this afternoon's email and besides, Daniel had his tickboxes checked already and still didn't get the email last week (plus I got the previous emails OK with the tickbox unchecked).  Just want to tyr to get to the bottom of this to make sure I've not been lost off the points statement emailing list forever!

i don't know its wierd, i know claire was looking into it, and found that my email was on file?

maybe its a glitch with the mailer?

Hi Simon, The marketing preference database is updated overnight - I'll load up your record tomorrow and send off an email and see if it goes through  - hopefully it is as simple as that - I don't want you to miss out on your fancy points statement

As for yours Dan, I'm pleased the updated one came through - it's weird as the email report said the other one had been sent.  

Jon, no you weren't going mad - it because I was wearing shoes so I wasn't able to count past 10  .... maybe if we get those giffgaff slippers sorted it'll make it easier to count up to 20!
