0845 and 0870 numbers to be included in the Goodybag minuets.

Kudos if you would like to see 0845's and/ or 0870's to come off your Goodybag mins.

Landline companies are all at it including 0845's and 0870's in the allowence.

And some Mobile companies are (T-Mobile Flext) subject to the plan you are on.

If this is not possible due to profit,  Set up a Goodybag that will allow these numbers to be included or just allow it on the top Goodybag.

Sometimes no matter how many times you use SAYNOTO0870.com you will not get the number.  (JobCentre Plus and Tax Credits for one,  As they are constantly changing these numbers as the more people get hold of them)

Hi all, this is not suitable because the interconnect charge is very expensive. We pay between 7and a half and 30 times more than a normal interconnect change, depending on the number. These numbers are designed to make money, so we can't add them in the goodybags.

Unfortunately I don't think this will be possible, due to the very odd way that BT charges mobile companies to connect the calls - it's more like a tax than cost plus a percentage

Giffgaff give us access to these numbers? Maybe giffgaff will buy you a house as well or do you want them to pay your food bills for a year lol

Simple answer giffgaff has to make a profit.

it will be good , but i dont think i would be possible. Let`s not put too much pressure on our lovely GG :smileysad:

Personally I'd rather have 08 numbers included in Goodybags rather than totally free 0800 calls, so I've Kudosed this one.

Totally agree with comstock!

Truthfully people can avoid calling 0800 by getting fixed dialled numbers from various sources (http://www.saynoto0870.com/ etc) Also there is http://www.0800buster.co.uk/ by only charging for local calls!

Replace it with 08xx!!! Even better, have BOTH!!!

PLEASE IMPLEMENT

Some recent musings from OFCOM on the subject here

Not sure if that is good news for us, although it looks like it....

Maybe have both 0800 and 0845's coming of the mins like comstock has said.

0800's are already being abused by some members using calling cards on them and bypassing the network.

Its only a matter of time before they get the chop.. (Just like Orange and One2One (t-mobile) used to do)

@sanj, thankz for that 0800buster, That will come in handy for my mate who's stuck in a T-mobile contract and has to pay 40p a min for them,,

I don't think it is - the Ofcom document about resolution of their dispute is 180 pages long, which doesn't suggest it will be simple in future.

Much better if Ofcom had starkly said that BT charges landline customers very cheaply for some of these numbers, and they ought to do the same for mobiles.

As 0845 numbers are normally charged at standard call rate, surely these could be allowed to come of our mins.

P.S  It is inappropriate & not constructive  for users to make comments such as :-
