[ Edited ]

Right guys, I'm starting this thread so we can build a universal definitive APN list.

Please can people let us know when this does and doesn't work on there handset.

Here are the basic APN Settings. Which "should" work on all phones.

Manual Settings:

GPRS-3G Settings

Connection Name: giffgaff - GPRS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Proxy Server Address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy Port:8080
Login - Username: giffgaff
Password: password
MCC: 234
MNC: 10

MMS Settings

Connection Name: giffgaff - MMS
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Username: giffgaff
Password: password
Server: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMSC: http://mmsc.mediamessaging.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy: 193.113.200.195
MMS port: 8080
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
APN type: mms

Re: Definitive APN Settings list.

At the mo' the "settings to 2020" is not actually working. But in terms of GPRS/WAP, clearing the cache and the cookies can help. Just a heads up :smileyhappy:

Re: Definitive APN Settings list.

I've tried clearing my cache & cookies, sent to 2020 a few times but kept getting a cannot install message so I followed the manual process.

I'm up & running now thanks for the threads I wouldn't off had a clue what to do!  :smileyhappy:

Discovered that a few apps only work if you erase the proxy server address

Re: Definitive APN Settings list.

These settings work fine for me on the Nexus One - including MMS. Just add all the relevant details into the APN list.

Hi richpb7,

Did you make one combined field of APN settings or have the two separate fields as above? I have the two separate fields but can only make one the default.

Re: Definitive APN Settings list.

With Android i find that you need to keep them seperate. one for GPRS and the other for MMS.

The GRPS will have to be set on the last field of the list as default. this will bring up the green dot by the name.
