I have a contract with O2 for which I have an iPhone. However I have a very expensive cradle in my car which allows me to use hands free (legal and safer!) So, I want to use my old phone which fits into my cradle for making calls in the car, if I need to. I have been told that you have to use your top up minutes within the month, Is that correct? That is really silly and a complete con if that is the case!
I was also going to get a basic mobile for my ageing mother who will only ever use it in an emergency, if at all. It would be a complete waste of money if we had to keep topping up every month and never using it.
Can anyone help with a definitive answer please. Or, does it depend on the provider?
