architecture up there is so different from down south - this looks like has continental, maybe german or swiss influences? I love all the crow steps up that way, those ziggyzaggy bits on roofs...came across them in crail and craster years ago!
done a few tours of scotland but only seen tip of iceberg, would love to go back but we don't travel far now... been to edinburgh but not glasgow or aberdeen, would love to see, also not been west coast. gazed at loch ness, loch linnie, seen mull and fingals cave - that was amazing and some other sites over orkney way.. inverness had lots of music in the pubs, loved it! can't remember where we stayed at ossians bar, big stretch of water near the hotel and husband had been there in the 60's - they still had the old painting of a lovely lassie with mirror either side on wall, think that's gone now but it was so odd for him to go back after what must have been 40 years!
glad you caught a bit of blue sky! it knows how to rain up there, we picked up some great packamacs, sturdy things that went on for maybe ten years before they ripped up the back🙂
