Top Tips - bag yourself 1,000 points for a handy giffgaffer how to video

Hello all handy giffgaffers!

We've been getting some great posts which include handy tips which clearly have been very useful - so it'd be great if we had some more.

If you've got some top tips of your own, please post them up here, and if you're handy with a cam - why not video your tip.

I've changed the permissions on this board to allow members to include externally hosted (YouTube) videos in posts.

Plus, as an added bonus to get things rolling - we've got a special 10,000 points to give away for the top 10 'Top Tip videos'.

At Payback time - we'll allocate 1,000 bonus points to each of the 10 'Top tip video' posts that we have rated to be the most useful.

Tips can be about anything giffgaff related.. a couple we'd be interested to see would be 'how to unlock an iphone' or 'how to use giffgaff answers', but we're sure you'll have dozens of other ideas.

Please make sure your giffgaff username is visible in the video.

Plus for the handy members who've posted some tips already, the ones I've spotted will be moved into here.

This is a wonderful idea, and one in which people can actually show some artistic flare. Few things need to be done to make this competeing a bit more fair

write their giffgaff name on the video, so that it doesn't seem like someone just took someone else's "How To" video
Staff members rate the video, as people who do participate would be a bit more reluctant to give kudos to others

Nice ideas jermin. A good example is the video posted above. Although a nice example of something we'd ike to see, this was posted on September 2007 (with almost 1.5 millions views), when giffgaff wasn't even thought off! So obviously not something made with the intention to be used for helping giffgaff members.

I'll add your suggestions to the original post.

This is my first post on the forums as I just activated my SIM card today and thought I'd create some video tutorials. Some people (including me) find video tutorials much easier to follow, as opposed to text tutorials, which is why I think this thread is a great idea!

I've added to the post on how to giiffgaff an iphone - unfortunately couldn't embed it for some reason the embed popup just came up with the community homepage instead of a request for the url to embed

You need to start your own thread for this.

You're basically hi-jacking a thread which was started for a completely different reason and it's likely that you may miss out on views doing that.
