Definately complain @san2016. There's usually a 'phone number on the packaging. Give them as much information about the product (serial number, where and when you bought it, what the problem was) and your details. They're usually grateful for the feedback and make it worth your while.
I complained to Twinnings when about 8-10 teabags out of a box of 100 were slit making them unusable. A five minute chat and they sent me £10 worth of vouchers. Kept me in tea for months.
