This year we decided to try airbnb. We go away in July but we fancied going to Amsterdam for a week with our son who is 6 as last year he had a day trip there when we went to Wassenaar (just outside Amsterdam) to Duinrell Park, he loved spending the day there so this year we thought seeing as there is loads to do in Amsterdam for families we would take him for a week. So we booked airbnb for the first time ever and we are going to stay on a canal boat which is so exciting. We also booked our flights seperatly ( I would recommend this as it usually works out cheaper and we got a great deal because we travel early in the morning and come back at 9 at night (getting an extra day in Amsterdam) and saving money. Seeing as its our first time using airbnb, I will keep you posted with how it goes!!! We were fed up staying in hotels because you cant just come and go as you please so thought this was a better option. We looked at different places to stay on airbnb and it all seems very reasonable. Like I say I will keep you posted on the airbnb experience when we are away in July but also I so recommend the wholebooking flights and accomodation seperate.

a canal boat holiday is fab I love those I haven't been to Amsterdam yet so the pressure is on you to promote it for me 😉 I book flights and accommodation separate I find it's far cheaper too and yes the early bird flights are so much cheaper I find
