You’ve probably already seen us praise the importance of having a goal, over in our new project discussion group, so we devised a new addition to our Credit Report that allows you to track personal saving goals.
Setting up a goal is incredibly simple. All you need to do is click on the New Goal button in our snazzy new dashboard and follow through the set-up wizard. You will get to choose a category, customise it a bit with an image and then set your target and when you want to achieve it by.
You will be able to even add funds you’ve already saved for it (in case it’s not a brand new savings goal) and to help you assess whether the goal is achievable or not, we will even calculate how much you will need to save each day in order to hit your target.
Once a target has been set, you will now be able to track it and update it directly through the money site. You will also be able to see some helpful tips and tricks that are relevant to your category, whether that’s through blog pieces around helpful topics or through community discussions and posts.
Along with our new project - which you can help us build from the ground up in our discussion group - this is yet another step in our journey to help you gain control over your finances. We’ve helped you have a clear view of where you stand with our Free Credit Report, find better deals with our compare sites and our community Hot Deals, and now we want to help you track those savings to help you hit those big goals in life (even if that just means a quick getaway to recharge your batteries).
So why not take it for a spin and let us know what you think?
And if you’re already saving for a specific goal, let us know in the forums. The community might have some great tips to help achieve it faster and you might even inspire others to aim for a similar goal. That’s a win, win if you ask me.
