Another great discussion by yourself. I do see the room for improvement in regards to Tips, as do I with every area of forum.
The balance i feel is between keeping people posting and ensuring it is of quality.
I truly feel tips and guides has potential for collabe threads and see that as a solution to keep threads more energising. However i do understand that the feature may not he available yet.
The positive in this thread is that it gets you thinking of solutions and ideas (Oh Labs, do search first tho 😉 ) Discussion is healthy as it brings out solutions that may not have been brought out.
To answer the question of why the tips should exist personally:
Engagement of the helping culture.
Steps to go beyond mobile side and increase interaction between mobile and daily lives.
Increased use of technology in daily lives that impact our lives
General tips, If their was no life would technology exist ? Looking after environment while still doing what you want ?
The list is endless.
The above is great reason i think the tips should exist. I do agree that quality can be driven. If a fellow member thinks by publishing a tip and publishing another one separating will earn more payback. Encourage them to maybe merge them into one thread. Making sure that quality does drive.
Touching slightly on the lab, @fadlur_f have been 100% reviewing ideas and working through the backlog of ideas. (that does take alot, espcially when you have lots of people posting ideas)
Does look like a lot at moment but members like us have been discussing different solutions and driving the new features that will ensure again that members are encouraged and ideas are as innovative as the OP intends (regardless of why they posted the idea)
As im guessing as i have seen that the lab has improved over the months. So i do see that tips will see the improvements.
All of above does highlight my thoughts 🙂 Sorry for the long read but i wanted to put all down in writing.
