Noticed giffgaff advertise that Uswitch has awarded them, 'Network of the Year Winner 2018' all over the community.
Trouble is that the Uswitch website extols non existant giffgaff features. Uswitch badly misleads new members into believing giffgaff offer gigabags (data only products) for their devices. It also claims that giffgaff offers unlimited goodybags. Really? It also largely ignores the £5, £7.50, £12 products. The question should really be, why are giffgaff promoting the Uswitch website?
Judge for yourself.
giffgaff is highly reputed mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that runs on the O2 network. It is best known for its low cost SIM only deals that include a generous allowance of minutes with unlimited texts and unlimited. data for a minimum top-up.
Its manifesto is to keep things simple and affordable. It does this by involving its own users in the sales, marketing and customer service operations, thus keeping costs down and in turn passing back the savings to you: the customer.
GiffGaff provides four main SIM only packages, also known as ‘goodybags’. These involve minimum monthly top-ups of £10, £15, £20 and £25 respectively.
Each comes with monthly allowance of airtime, unlimited texts and mobile internet, plus free GiffGaff-to-GiffGaff calls.
You can also pick up a data only ‘gigabag’ package, which gets you select amounts of monthly data usage for your tablet devices.'
For some reason Uswitch underplay being able to add the minimum of the £5 goodybag for activation or for allowances usage. I say 'underplay' they fail to mention the product in the body of the text. They also talk about "generous minutes" rather than emphasising unlimited minutes on their showcased goodybags.
