We're putting Sell your phone on pause
@kashwell has some important news for the community: Due to critical operational challenges with one of our partners, and despite our best efforts in trying to resolve them, we’ve decided it’s in the best interests of members for us to temporarily put the ‘sell my phone’ feature of giffgaff on hold.
This means that in the short term, we won’t be able to offer Marketplace trade-in on your old devices. If you’ve got a phone that’s currently in transit or waiting for inspection, then you should not be impacted. However, if you’re concerned about the status of your trade-in for any reason, our agent team will be able to investigate for you. For the full update on how this affects giffgaff and its community members, head over here.
Top Team Change for giffgaff
Mike, the CEO and @gaffer wanted to let us know about some changes that will be happening to the management team here at giffgaff: After 9 and bit years leading the team here I will be moving on to a new role and challenge outside of the telecoms world in October. Sad news, indeed, but we can all wish Mike a happy and prosperous new adventure, and thank him for all his great work here at giffgaff. Click here.
We've moved gaff!
It gives @amy_b_d real pleasure to share with you some exciting news - we've moved gaff! We're still in sunny Uxbridge, and we've managed to find ourselves a very spacious office with lots of extra room to grow and lots of space for when members come and visit. Every space has been designed specifically for each team with productivity in mind so teams can display their scrum boards, have their stand-ups, have plenty of space to go to for meetings, phone calls, and various other things. And the scooter? Well, it helps us get from A to B quicker. No accidents yet to report but it's fun keeping our first-aiders on the edge. You can find all the info from Amy and take a tour right here.

Well, recently many smartphone accessory manufacturers have branched out into solar-powered chargers. If you're unsure whether this is the way forward for you then read @zerodudex333's latest blog explore whether such a small solar power will really be enough to keep your phone charged whilst on the go.

Microsoft Word Tipsby toxiic
As willp789 knows, I do like to use Word. It can make for a powerful and quick word processor when all the features are taken advantage of by the user. And, to make your creations on Word even more efficient, I’ve collated a few handy tips and tricks that you can take advantage of. So, here they are: Tips and Tricks on Word. Note, these are for the newest, most up-to-date version of Word – so you may want to double check if your version of Word has these features.
Use the Tell Me feature! This is an underrated feature in my opinion. Typing what you want to do into this little box will save you time as you don’t need to manually find that option on the toolbar/ribbon. This is only a small time-saver at the time, but it could end up saving quite a bit of time on the long run. It can be found at the other end of File if you have this feature.
Save your eyes. Switching to the Sepia colour whilst reading a long document might just limit the stress your eyes are being put through! Simply go to View (on the Toolbar), Read Mode, View (again), Page Colour, Sepia. Once you’ve finished reading, click View then Edit Document and that will bring you back to the normal view you have when editing a document.
Get Word to update the date and time of an edit to a document by clicking Insert (on the Toolbar) then Date and Time (this isn’t as easy to find but look to the right of all the options and you’ll find blue icons saying Equation and Symbol – Date and Time should be to the left of them). Just choose which format you’d like the text to update it and you’re done, it will update the values to currently when you edit a document

Google Pixel 3
You may recall it was only very recently that we got the Pixel 2 from Google, the continuation to it's original Pixel phone. Well, it now looks like we'll be seeing a standard Pixel 3, come the end of 2018. On the /r/GooglePixel subreddit, someone posted a supposed leak of the Google Pixel 3. The posters also had this to say:
"Wish I could confirm further with evidence, but it's hard to without taking photos of personally identifying info. I'll also just say that this particular device is part of a testing program through a carrier other than Verizon, so I'd expect that exclusivity to end this year."
This refers to the fact that in the US, Verizon is the standard carrier for all Google Pixel phones.
Onto the details of the phone, from the images and screenshots posted, we can gather a few things. Both the front and back facing cameras will both be 8-megapixel and the display will be 5.5 inch (resolution: 2160x1080 with an aspect ratio of 2:1). The launch event for the phone is expected on October 9th, where a 3 and 3 XL are expected.
That's as much as is available so far, you can go and take a look at the images here and let us know your thoughts on this latest leak.
Thanks for reading
