Well that was a fun day (!)
Stuck at home with a totally useless £20 goodybag and - despite constant assurances on the news that they were - voice calls that were intermittent at best.
I buy the £20 goodybag purely because we don't have a landline or home broadband. My daughter is also on giffgaff, and so is my partner. Partner goes to work, I'm left with no means of communicating. O2's statement on the news yet again tells me voice is okay.
It's now 8.38pm and I have had 3G for about an hour. No 4G.
A game I have spent months playing was ruined. I have to sign in once every 12 hours to keep my troops safe from attacks. Thanks.
Also I was unable to travel as I left my wallet with the missus and I always buy my bus tickets on the app. Thanks, again.
Oh and eSigning documents relating to my current job application? Nope! Thanks!
Rant over as I know this is not a giffgaff issue, but this time I will be raising a complaint. I have to direct it to giffgaff but that's only a formality. I hope this puts pressure on O2 to have backups in place with its providers.
I was around when this last happened in 2012. I was a giffgaff customer then, but that time didn't have as big an impact as we then had a landline and broadband.
So yeah, well done giffgaff for attempting to keep us updated, well done O2 for shafting us again. Oh and well done Ericsson: nailed it there, eh?! Lol. Peace.
