Yep, you definitely cannot send dead, rotting, organic matter via email, lol
Seriously though I know what you mean, but they're really not something that I miss. I used to before I trained people to use email as they would snail mail, (people demanding instant replies bugged the life out of me and made me long for the slowness of snail mail), but once I had them trained email became my preferred method of written contact by some considerable margin.
I think letters used to be more therapeutic and as you say slower pace of life. Why do we have to rush all the time, it's not healthy..
Letters were records of the past and now it's all virtual - unless you print off emails!
I miss all the lovely stamps, used to collect em for lifeboat people but you don't see many now..
And it was nice to get nice post, now it's mostly advertising and bills!
Writing a letter is good way of getting stuff off your chest, more measured, not sure typing has the same effect and instead of being relaxing staring into a bright screen just enervates the brain, probably why so many have sleep problems lol! Tho it is good antidepressant if people get S.A.D.
Wonder how much uv and if it affects eyes as much as going out into sunlight?
