I am sure most of you are aware of the journey our members have to go through in order to buy a phone from giffgaff.
Based on the feedback we’ve seen pop up in contribute and Labs we can see that there is a mutual agreement that there are many improvements which can be made to simplify this journey and make our members lives easier.
Of course, there are a few restrictions that we need to take into consideration, like the fact that our partner-Ratesetter- needs to perform extra checks in order to approve some loans, but we thought there is something we can do at our end to simplify the process once the application has been approved so the member does not have to go through the ordering process again.
Armed with loads of insight from the community and plenty of enthusiasm, we started working on this journey and are happy to let you know that we have found a way to implement your ideas.
This means that from now on, after a member gets approved all they have to do is click the link provided in the email and they can return to the last step of the checkout, with the device pre-selected and personal data prefilled the only thing they will need to do is type their payment information (for security reasons) and finalise their purchase.
Massive thank you to every member that has given feedback and helped us bring this to life. We are already seeing a reduction in cases raised because of this and we are eager to hear if you are seeing the same trend on the community.
