Happy Thursday all my lovely GG friends! Hope you're all having a fabulous week so far & relaxing.
My latest sugar art creations are a chocolate bunny bride, with rather tiny flowers for a headdress & a guitar-playing chocolate horse. Both are sculpted from my homemade modelling chocolate, with a bit of sugar paste for the details & natural food colours for the eyes. Both are completely edible, although not for eating.
Firstly, the chocolate bunny bride! The sugar flowers on her headdress are individually made, with the tiniest ones being about 3-4mm across. I coloured some sugar paste to make the centres a nice rich yellow & some a sage green for the leaves. Her tiara is made from white sugar paste, painted in edible gold. The bunny is dusted in a little gold all over to give her a bit of a satin sheen too. Her eyes are hand-painted using a little diluted blue food colour.
Next, the chocolate horse guitarist was inspired by a musician friend's birthday yesterday & was probably the fastest sculpture I've ever made! It took me about 5 hours in total & I made a few sketches to refer to, as I've never made a horse before. The hooves, mane & tail are made from black sugar paste, dusted in edible gold. His guitar is made of sugar paste, which I coloured pale blue & modelling chocolate, & I hand-painted the eyes in a dark brown food colour.
Hope you like them & they brighten up your day! Have a fabulous rest of the week & a wonderful weekend! Stay hungry! 😉 Aimee xxx
