As giffgaff uses the O2 Network, be sure to check their Network Status also: https://status.o2.co.uk/
Mast issues are maintained by O2, rather than giffgaff so unfortunately it is out of the control of giffgaff as to when these might be repaired if there is an issue with a Mast in your area.
