giffgaff don't do contracts (except for phone purchases) so you can stop using the Service and leave at anytime. There is no way currently to actually Delete your account but if you wish to stop using then you should ensure that you follow the steps below to stop any further payments from potentially being taken.
If you have recurring payment for a Goodybag or Auto Top-up of Credit enabled on your Account you will need to Cancel these!
How to Cancel Recurring Goodybag
Log into My giffgaff and directly underneath your community membername you will see your current and recurring Goodybag.
To change your recurring Goodybag go to the My payment details page.
Locate the Recur your Goodybag section and click on Change to display your current recurrence settings.
Untick the Recur your selected Goodybag box and click on Save recurring settings.
Go back to My giffgaff and you'll see that your recurring Goodybag has been replaced by the following link - Recur your Goodybag which will have this message "Recur your Goodybag automatically and give yourself one less thing to remember. Now that's awesome."
That's it, your recurring Goodybag has been cancelled.
How to Turn off Auto Top-up
Go here: https://giffgaff.com/profile/payment-details#autosettings to turn off Auto Top-up.
You could also remove bank details https://giffgaff.com/profile/payment-details or if you still have problems then Ask an Agent https://support2.giffgaff.com/app/ask/ to remove it for you if you are having difficulties with stopping it.
Ask for your giffgaff account to be shut down
Make sure you have turned off recurring Goodybag and auto Topups as detailed above, and remove all payment methods from your giffgaff Account to ensure that no payments continue to be taken automatically.
To get your PAC code and Transfer your existing Number from giffgaff
If you want to keep you number and take it to another Network you need to get a PAC Code.
Simply text the word ‘PAC’ to 65075 and get their PAC code within 60 seconds before handing it to their new provider to begin the switching process and keep your mobile number.
OR dial 43431 from your handset.
After 6 months non-activity - the SIM will be deactivated and the number recycled if not ported out Any unused credit would be lost.
