Hi everyone. We're no longer carrying out this Mystery shopper trial. It was a huge success and Jamie and myself want to thank all the members involved in this trial. It was honestly a great collaborative effort between all of you and shows us the power of people and run by you. Thank you all very much.
We would like to ask some of you lovely members to volunteer and be a kind of “mystery shopper” for us, by visiting your local Tesco Express and/or Tesco Metro store.
We have a partnership with Tesco and we want to gain more understanding of how many stores have a SIM card stand and how often those stands are stocked. With that in mind, we’d like to visit up to 25 to 50 stores by 30th November.
How can you help?
It’s pretty simple. We'd like you to visit your local store which should only take 5 mins tops and carry out these tasks from the checklist below:
- check and see if there’s a SIM card stand is in the queue isle by the cigarette kiosk, (sometimes the customer service kiosk)
- If there is, take a picture of it and share it with us in this thread with the name and location of the store, and the date you visited.
- If there isn’t. take a picture of the queue with the missing SIM card stand anyway and share in the thread anyway.
Friday 1 November @ 12:25
There's a slight update I'd like to make you all aware of. Before you visit your next Tesco Store, can you sign up to This form We can then send you a link to download and print a Letter of Authority from Tesco.
We would also like you to sign in to their visitor's book as a record of your visit as well.
- When you share the details of your visit in the thread, it needs to look like this:
Tesco Metro, Uxbridge
Date visited: Monday 28 October
It’s important for us to make sure that we are spending money the right way, so having an awareness of what’s happening is really useful for us to plan better in the future.
If you’re going to be a mystery shopper, we’ll need each of you to visit your local store before the 30th November.
And that’s it. If you have any questions let me know in the thread.
