I'm one of the lucky ones ......... I managed to kick the habit ,
Years ago I tried a couple of times by cutting back or trying smoking cigars instead of cigarettes , the thinking being that I'd smoke less, ( that thinking was wrong ) , all it did was make me spend more money,
Then something happened , I did the sums and worked out how much I was spending every month on smoking , I have to admit that even back then it was a silly amount of money ( today it's even more silly / excessively expensive ) , I could't afford to smoke even if I wanted to , ( thankfully I don't ) .
It was 15 years ago that I gave up smoking and the money I saved enabled me to afford the payments on my first brand new car ........ that was my reward to myself for giving up ,
For me in the end it was really wanting to give it up that helped me do it , I hope others have the same success that I did ( have had ) , good luck to everyone who's trying to give up , you will feel better for doing it .
