jimvee288 Not a problem! The beauty of soup (broth in particular) is you can throw most things in it and it'll still be tasty 😃
P.S. If you're using barley it's a good idea to soak it in water overnight to ensure it softens enough in the soup. A pinch of bicarbonate of soda in the water seems to help it along a little (don't ask why as I have no idea, but my aunt always did it!). I also used to do this with the split peas and butter beans, but they no longer seem to need it. Processed differently these days, I assume.
