oo I never had mri, wasn't offered..
had it quite a bit after neck injuries, expect inflammation pressing on auditory nerve or summat.. high pitch that went off when moved neck.
I get percussive tinnitis in line with heartbeat occasionally evenings and noisy beat of music can start it off so wonder if linked with hearing or bloodpressure.
Yep I found consonants were more tricky to differentiate which is a pain cos if you miss one word the rest of stuff doesn't always make sense lol. Some accents are harder to make out on telly, there's a softly spoken woman presents in art progs I find very difficult to make out, she waves hands around and visually distracting, got her hair arranged differently several times thru one programme. Not sure what she knows about art, bit irritating to tell the truth!
Yes probably do more lipreading than realise, not keen when you get a handwaver - some people use it quite aggressively on telly, as if to invade someone's body space if there's a pair of them - countryfile can be like that?
Does tinnitis annoy you? I found getting wound up by it seemed to make it worse. Guess it's faded over the last ten years.. Could also have been side effect of hrt, I think various meds can influence it?
