- Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter
You've still got time to choose to give your Payback to charity - just head over here. giffgaff will count up the Payback of everyone who's given to charity, split it between the two winning causes, and then match it, so they both benefit from the full amount. Fantastic 🖐.

Pop over here and make your choice. Remember: if you don't make a choice, your Payback will roll over to the next period. View recruit status via giffgaff mobile app from @markeemaark
Our member's idea is: A simple idea that would be helpful - the ability to view My Recruits and SIM order statuses via the giffgaff mobile app. We can already access the Share the Love aka Payback via the mobile app, it only makes sense to be able to also view the status of SIMs that you have ordered or sent out. What are your thoughts on this?
Talking to trees from @thoma97736
Our member's idea is: For every pound spent on goodybags and topups giffgaff would donate a small amount to the planting of trees to fight climate change. This could be as little as 1p per gbp spent. Every phone deal sold through giffgaff could see another 5 trees planted. What a great idea, what do you think? Give us your feedback.
Scanning passport/driving license option from @johnphillipswhufc1980
Our member's idea is: It would be a far safer and less time-consuming way to validate your identity if you could scan in your passport and/or driving license instead of the archaic way we have to manually type them in which doesn't seem to work?
- This week labs had intermittent issues please see more details here.
- Have you submitted an idea, do you want to see where your idea is up to? You can do so here.

On This Day In History
1781 The crew of an overloaded British slave ship, the Zong, murdered around 134 African slaves by dumping them into the sea in an effort to claim insurance. The ship owners successfully won the subsequent insurance court case setting a precedent that meant that under certain circumstances the killing of slaves was legal.
1934 The first live radio broadcast of a royal wedding in Britain took place for the marriage of Prince George, the Duke of Kent to Princess Marina of Greece at Westminster Abbey.
1940 The city of Liverpool was bombed by the Germans for nearly 8 hours during the Second World War, resulting in the deaths of 166 people and a further 2,000 homeless.
