nefarius I know you like a #top tip. Put the eggs in a bowl of water, if they sink to the bottom and don't float then they are perfectly fine to eat, even if they are "out of date".

I have bought and tried lots of different eggs and now only buy mine from Lidl or Iceland .
Ten big eggs for around 90p and they are really nice ones 😄
