I hate ranting on Facebook, because well I'm in a fairly safe "bubble" of similar minded people and I'm not going to lie, a lot more people know a lot more about politics than I do!
Here I feel more anonymity and I've been thinking a bit, so don't read on if you're already bored! 😅
I work in a public sector job, one that has been hit by cuts, lots of cuts, but I find my colleagues to be strongly minded about being opposite to me - for a party I view as being responsible for these cuts.
I know people are strong minded and defensive about voting choices, but to me some just make no sense!
I'm not going to argue, as whats done is done, it's just good to hear views outside of my bubble. Arguing with someone with fixed political views is like arguing with a bouncer... But I don't understand why you'd vote for a party knowing and seeing all the cuts and vulnerable adults left at risk first hand? Knowing your job might be next?
Have I watched a different election to everyone else, or is the vote you make now more like a music genre or a football team - you support it because your family does, and you like them so they must be right?
That's my latest theory anyway!
