I think use them up, those animals died for you - that's my attitude to things..
though when I found out about angora and had it in a few very old second hand jumpers I couldn't bear to wear them, so much sadness associated with them - put in charity shop so maybe would get further use. one was a fabulous purple cardi, had shrunk a bit but so incredibly soft like a fluffy cloud. But when I think of those poor rabbits... I had no idea when got it decades ago obviously and thank god people are a little more informed now!
what sort of beauty items are you meaning? is it the fact maybe tested on animals - in which case I would throw - if they do that then there's probably nasties for humans in them too cos not a caring company.
then again I'm biased cos allergic to chemical products - started getting panic attacks/ asthma and eventually the penny dropped and realised it was darned new deodorant and also face cleanser. Now when I compare it to natural these things stink and can barely go in some chemists...
trouble is we chuck things out and they end up in landfill.
I let nivea know had had problems and they still make it. No wonder used to get ill working in offices full of girls wearing stuff!
Fab that you making changes. I still got a long way to go, finding avoiding palm oil one of the hardest, not only sacrificing most biscuits but trying to read the darned ingredients listings while out shopping, talk about small print.
feel so much more alive without perfume and e numbers though!🙂 slightly clearer conscience too though nobody's perfect!
