If, like me, you have a regular prescription each month, have you guys tried Pharmacy2u?
I’ve been using them for about three years now and I really don’t have many grumbles with them.
It’s really easy to order your repeat items on the app, and they send you notifications to remind you in good time to order them.
The downside for me is that because I have so many items on my list (don’t ask!), the package doesn’t fit through the letterbox. If I’m not in to receive it, then I have to go to the post office to collect, which defeats the point of not going and waiting in the pharmacy.
However, if you have a regular prescription for smaller items, such as if you’re on the contraceptive pill, or Levothyroxine, the package will always come through the door.
Another great thing about them, is that they charge the government less per prescription than pharmacies do, which means savings for the NHS! :-D Every now and again, they email me with how much I’ve personally saved (£30+) and £1M or so over the years they’ve been operating.
If you need a course of antibiotics for example, you can still go and get them in your local pharmacy, but all those monthly repeats going into your pharmacy or GP to order, then checking with the pharmacy if they have the prescription yet... forget it! They do all the legwork for you!
If I’m honest, I had difficulties the first two months I was with them, because I ran out of meds a couple of times and had to go and collect extra from my GP, but the last few years after the initial settling in has been so simple!
