following on from the toast thread I've always had Lurpak but I'm sure there must be some good butter that goes on giiffgaffers food that I've not tried. Anything that is similar to Lurpak? Or is there something even better?
wedgington are we talking proper butter or that spreadable hybrid stuff?
wedgington lurpack for us
I,ve tried a few but i am using Tesco own salted at the moment and i like it muchly 😃
wedgington for us Aldisbutter and when flush lurpack.
wedgington the block of butter from Aldi for my toast
wedgington I like a good organic like Waitrose duchy, but we have had Co op, and Anchor too
Lurpack for me 😁
wedgington I don't think there is anything better than Lurpak, we always use it. Tried lots of others but always come back. We tend to buy it when it's on offer and freeze it.
wedgington I like Lurpak. Wyke Farms and President are both good too.
My Grandmother always used Lurpak. I dont use butter very often but I too enjoy Lurpak.
wedgington I don’t really use much butter I think it’s all the same, just get what’s on offer usually
wedgington What was the butter that my had the slogan You can get a better bit of butter in your knife ! ??
I dont know much but i think the best butter is which one we can apply to our boss.
wedgington I don’t like butter but u use for my hubby’s breakfast best butter is garlic
wedgington Aldi/Lidl for us just as good as lurpac
wedgington lurpac only for me
wedgington I buy butter that is not spreadable as this is not pure butter
wedgington I like Lurpak too, but because of the cost of it I buy Aldis Norpak. I find that a nice substitute.
wedgington Love proper butter but it's always solid so happy to compromise with speadable lurpak.
wedgington Country Life
wedgington I like that country life one in the gold wrapper. The saltier the better i say 😉
wedgington we use Flora light on bread and toast, I don’t think there’s much difference in taste than butter.🤗
A warning lurpak cows have found that the grass is not always greener on the other side.
I honestly don't think you can do much better than lurpak
andyslc yes proper butter only for me, but others may disagree and rate a hybrid . Everyone's taste will differ after all 👍
i just got some of that country life stuff, was a bit thin in taste with bacon butties, might get used to it, only seems to have a few ingredients in and not mucked about with too much?
probably should have got into it years ago, declagg the arteries lol!
wedgington in that case I find this to be a really nice butter:
Ive always found lurpak the nicest
frenchielove co op spreadable butter is nice too.
frenchielove waitrose duchy
I always buy organic butter if I can, and British if possible 😁
I always use Lurpak but was looking at Asda's own, it looked good but their design is very similar, might give it a try
Lurpac for me when its on offer otherwise Aldi/Lidl butter
Norpak is Aldi's version of Lurpack, tastes identical to me and is a quid cheaper.
