It's super interesting that you say this, I guess this is the case with most members. Those who are familiar with the way we offer help in the community would definitely choose it as their first port of call but those who are more familiar with other social channels are likely to head there. This is why we think it is super important to have educators on social media so they can help in facilitating these conversations and making sure our members get the support they need.
This is a great idea, perhaps we could also put together a list of questions that we see popping up frequently on social media to ensure that all of these questions are answered in KB 2.0?
As you know things are a little slow at the moment based on the situation at hand and access to development resources is a little limited because other things are taking priority.
But we could have a little bit of a brainstorm around KB 2.0, the reason I ask is that we don’t want to rush into a quick fix because of limited time and resources and then further down the line realise that we’ve got to re-do all that hard work to put it in a different format.
bill48er I'm not entirely sure how an FAQ page would sit in social, do you have any ideas on whether this is possible and how this could look?
ray2 As for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will help be offered for them all if so can those who use Facebook be used for Facebook, those who use twitter be used for twitter and so on with Instagram, and those who use them all flit between the 3?
Yeah sure, our current social media helpers do this too so yes it is definitely a possibility.
As for the 'angry' members, we get these on the forum too but we will have to see whether the dynamics are slightly different on social. This isn’t something we’ll know until we open it up and we are hoping that this is something that the social educators can help us with.
This is something that we have been thinking about for some time now but yes, to begin with we would rely on the helpers to let us know and if we do realise there is someone helping, we will reach out to them to share this with us. It would have to be a manual process but we will continue to think and talk to you guys to see if there is anything more automatic we can do in the future.
Then again, if members would like their member names to be public they can send this to each other in PM’s or DM’s and if we want to do more, we can have an area on the community where people can identify themselves as social helpers.
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by this ‘Another thing could be to have an op on each forum that lists links to the other ones’ could you please elaborate?
