Good afternoon gaffers , I just wtd to say thanks to giffgaff and all my fellow giffgaffers for their online support and positivity.
It does make a real difference seeing it.
I unfortunately after a bad week where I thought I had the fluand felt really tired and fatigued but just got on with it finally went via phone consultation to my doc after 8 days and after a brief consultation a 999 ambulance was called and I was whisked of to hospital, long story short I was tested with the nose and mouth swabs and was admitted to infectious diseases ward ,pretty scary.
They said my blood was deranged.
The test came back and I had covid -19 virus.
Eventually I was was allowed to go home, as I had a spare room, under strict isolation.
Hospital called every day to check.
And Public Health England, rang daily to ask questions and reiterating,I must be in isolation.
Please be aware,I never had a temperature,my mouth was bone dry so much so that I could barely speak.
My breathing was very very rapid as I was trying to catch my breath.
I now realise just how fortunate I am to be here and the great work of the staff of NMGH.
Thankfull nearly 2 weeks and feeling like it's over.
But wife checked in with work to say eta on my return, only to be told looks like I wont have a job to return to,not due to my health but because of the sector I work in.
Reading the community posts and being a part of this amazing giffgaff community has helped me though these weeks.
So a big thank you to you all and if there was any doubt why you should join our merry band look around the community and you will see why giffgaff and the members are the best.
