I rely on the app to check my data usage, as there is STILL no star 100 star something hash code to access this.
What has annoyed me in the past annoying is that when you change app versions, the first I often hear of it is when I urgently need to check my data. I know I am nearly run out, so I go to the app to find out, and then the app says sulkiliy “you must download a new version before I will talk to you”.
It may not be convenient to do the download right then, And because it downloads from the app store not the giffgaff website, that costs blah megabytes if I am out and about.
Will you please add, as a matter of urgency, a feature AS SOON AS POSSIBLE that informs users of a new version a few days (preferably a week) ahead of the previous version going into sulk mode.
The only exception to this would be when a new version is rolled out in a hurry to close some bug that makes the current one insecure (a so-called zero-day exploit).
Please remember, it is my phone, not yours, and I figure that means that I should be in charge of when I update things.
(A point that Micro$oft also seems to forget, but that is a whole other rant, and in fairness giffgaff is much more user friendly than M$)
And again to be fair, having the app is better than trying to navigate the giffgaff website from s mobile with a small screen
