smk76 For several days now I experience extreme slow internet connection. Quality network poor - average, no matter where I go in Edinburgh. Worse, I have no connection since over 2 hours now.
I rebootet my phone
I checked my subscription (still good for 12 days)
O2 network is up
Is there a general network problem with giffgaff?

If A Mast Is Down In Your Area:
This is no fault of giffgaffs,this would also effect members on the O2 network and anything that’s run with O2 in your area so it’s down to the O2 repair team to fix it and to update there website,the O2 website gets updated every hour so it’s best to keep checking it or you could search the O2 forums within your area search and see if there’s a clearer explanation , or you could ask giffgaff to look in to this for you to see if they can find a fix time for the mast etc.
Sorry to say but there would be no compensation from this issue/outage etc.

Please Note: This would slow your data down but could find a signal or service this way.
You could always set your “Mobile Data Connection” to 2G - E / Edge and see if that improves your signal or if your using 4G, change it to 3G or 2G as said as it works for many with that situation or switch on your mobile data but disable 3G and use 2G/Edge for various handset/devices/mobile.

● Also: Take the Sim Card out for a minute or 2 and then place it back in correctly in to the Sim Slot, you could also Hand clean the sim (Very Soft)
If your at a different location than before,
You could also be in a bad area for receiving a good Signal/Service if it is fine at other locations, if all of my info hasn’t solved it.
