Some of you might already know me, but I’m Tom, and for the last year or so, I’ve been working with our Propositions team on our goodybags and pricing.
We’ve got something new coming down the pipe for you. As you might know, every now and again we adjust our goodybags to make sure people are getting the best value they can. We look at your comments on the community and elsewhere, and survey people to see what would be the best move to make, and you won’t be surprised that one thing clearly stands out - more data.
We’d like to try something to see if that’s something we can do, so very soon, we’re launching a test goodybag - that we’re calling the golden goodybag. With it, you’ll get 9GB of data, as well as unlimited calls and texts, for £10.
This one is a little different to other goodybags - in order to get it, you have to unlock it. It’s simple to do, you just need to set it to recur when you buy it. As long as you keep your recurring setting on, you’ll continue to get the golden goodybag.
As this is an experiment, we wanted to get this to you as soon as we can. We’ll be able to offer it to everyone using the app
late in the morning afternoon/early evening of July 28th, as well as to new members registering on the website. As different parts of the website are built differently, it’ll take a little longer for us to make it available for existing members on the website, late morning August 11th(update: it’s taking a little longer, see here for details), so if you want to get it earlier, the app is the best way. We have updated the terms and conditions with the nitty gritty of it all so if you want more details please head over here.
There’ll be no change to any of our other goodybags, so don’t worry - if you’re happy with the plan you’re on, you can still use it just as you always have done. If you could use a little extra data for £10, though, it’s worth considering. All you’ll need to do is change your recurring goodybag to the golden goodybag after we’ve launched.
As always, we’d love to hear what you think, especially once you’ve had an opportunity to give it a try.
Update: Hey everyone, the rollout is taking a little longer than planned - see this post for all the information.
Update: Here’s a bit more information about how we’re making progress.
Update: Hey everyone, we’re at the final stages of the launch. Thank you for following along with this.
