I suspect that is part of the experiment. People are always happy to get more for their money, but many more are savvy and happy enough to pay less for what they actually use. The potential to lose revenue is very real with this experiment.
I can understand the incentive to get people to recur, I suspect most customers do anyway, but recurring is easy to switch off too so there’s no guarantee that customers will continue with the golden goodybag. Some people will be better off though, so in that regard it’s a positive step for them.
As I don’t use more than the 500mb on the £6 goodybag I won’t be taking up the offer.
